Friendly Home Recognized Among Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes

Friendly Home has been recognized for excellence on Newsweek’s inaugural list of Best Nursing Homes. More than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide were analyzed, and less than 3 percent achieved placement on Newsweek’s 2020 list.

“This outstanding distinction reflects the Friendly Home’s commitment to providing excellent and compassionate care and services always,” Friendly Senior Living President & CEO Glen Cooper said. “We are very proud that our dedication to ensuring the best for those we serve has resulted in this ranking among the top nursing homes in the country, and in the top 20 nursing homes in New York State.”

Newsweek partnered with Statista, a global research firm, to establish nursing home rankings based on rigorous criteria:

  1. Recommendations from medical experts, including physicians, nurses, administrators and therapists.
  2. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services nursing home performance data on health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
