The Friendly Home is proud to announce that it has been ranked as a Best Nursing Home 2021-2022 by U.S. News & World Report. This ranking places the Friendly Home in the top 13% of skilled nursing facilities in the country to achieve the coveted rating of “High Performing.” This is the highest possible rating for long-term care. Rankings were based on quality measures focused on staffing, outcomes and processes of care. Additionally, new this year was a measurement based on staff vaccination rates, which at the Friendly Home are over 99%.
U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 facilities throughout the country. Fewer than 2,000 of these achieved High Performing status, including only 5 of the 43 nursing homes in Monroe County.

In addition to this latest recognition by U.S. News & World Report, the Friendly Home has been ranked #1 out of over 600 nursing homes on Newsweek’s list of 2021-2022 Best Nursing Homes in New York State. The Friendly Home has also received a 1st quintile (top) ranking from the New York State Department of Health’s Nursing Home Quality Initiative program, which recognizes top nursing homes based on quality, compliance and efficiency measures. Furthermore, the Friendly Home was recently awarded 5 Stars from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest possible rating.
