ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This afternoon, Friendly Home hosted an awards ceremony after nominating Sen. Joseph E. Robach for LeadingAge New York’s Partners in Quality Award for his commitment to supporting Rochester’s senior community, specifically individuals living at Friendly Home in Brighton. LeadingAge’s Partners in Quality Award gives public recognition to officeholders, like Robach, who are working to protect New York’s seniors.
The purpose of today’s ceremony was to thank local and regional lawmakers across the state, specifically Robach, for their advocacy efforts and dedication to improving seniors’ lives.
“Sen. Robach has been committed to supporting the seniors at Friendly Home over the years and we’re proud to recognize him for his ongoing efforts to make our community a better place to live,” said Glen Cooper, president and CEO of Friendly Senior Living. “He works hard to educate and support seniors in various ways across Greater Rochester, and this is well-deserved recognition for all he’s done on behalf of all of us at Friendly Home.”
Most recently, Robach provided financial support for Friendly Home’s new cafe and gift shop that opened earlier this year.
“I am proud to be able to help the seniors in our community,” Robach said. “Anything I can do to make the lives of seniors in our area better, I will do my absolute best to make it happen, because they deserve it.”
LeadingAge NY representatives, Friendly Home leadership, board members and supporters, and Senator Robach’s team were in attendance during today’s awards ceremony.
