Inspire. Innovate. Impact.

It is my great pleasure and honor to share that Friendly Senior Living recently completed a fundraising campaign with fantastic results! We exceeded our goal of $4.5 million, thanks to the support of our friends in the community, including companies, foundations and individuals.

The hard work and dedication of our campaign committee and staff, coupled with the generosity of our donors, truly makes a difference in the lives of the older adults who live in the Friendly Senior Living communities. The capital and program enhancements funded by our campaign touch the lives of those we serve in a variety of meaningful ways:

Enhanced Memory Care Programming
Partnering with Dementia Care Specialists, a nationally renowned consulting group, we are evolving our “best abilities” approach to memory care.

Neurologic Music Therapy
Our Neurologic Music Therapist has developed specialized techniques to work one-on-one with residents to address specific needs as a result of Parkinson’s disease, dementia, aphasia and more.

Staff Education/Career Pathways
To address a critical industry need for hands-on caregivers, Friendly Senior Living has partnered with Monroe Community College to provide stipends to students during their training to become Certified Nursing Assistants, covering expenses such as books and child care. Additional career advancement opportunities are supported, including Certified Nursing Assistants becoming Licensed Practical Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses becoming Registered Nurses.

We are very thankful for the friendship shown by our campaign donors! Many have long-time connections to Friendly Senior Living: as family members of loved ones who have lived in our communities, as volunteers, as government entities who care about providing the elderly with the best possible care. Tracing our roots back to our founding in 1849 by a group of charitable women, Friendly Senior Living supporters today help us carry on a long and proud tradition of mission-driven service. On behalf of our entire organization, thank you for showing that friends care always!
