Quality Staff = Quality Care

Several members of the Friendly Home’s clinical team have recently been recognized for their contributions and achievements in the field of aging. As providers of care for the elderly in our community, the people we serve are our highest priority. The quality of our staff directly impacts the quality of care we deliver, and these colleagues are certainly the best of the best!

I am very proud to work with Dr. Leslie Algase, Maureen Garbach, and Dr. Dallas Nelson, and grateful for their commitment and service to our organization and to the older adults entrusted to our care. Congratulations on these outstanding accomplishments:

Dr. Algase has been elected as the New York Upstate Chapter Governor-Elect designee for the American College of Physicians. Selected by her peers for this leadership role, Dr. Algase will begin her four-year term as Governor this Spring.  As Governor, Dr. Algase will serve as the official representative of the College for the New York Upstate Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level.

Maureen Garbach, R.N., Director of Health Services at the Friendly Home, has been recognized as a Rochester Business Journal Health Care Achievement Award honoree in the category of long-term care management. This award celebrates individuals who are making a significant impact on the quality of health care in the Rochester area.

Dr. Dallas L. Nelson has been named a 2018 Rochester Business Journal Women of Excellencehonoree. This award recognizes high-achieving women for their professional accomplishments, community involvement and sustained commitment to mentoring.
