Serving older adults with care and compassion is at the heart of everything we do at the Friendly Home. That means making our Members feel loved as the unique individuals they are, providing our families with peace of mind, and supporting our staff as they deliver person-centered care. Every day, we strive to live our values of Friendship, Compassion, Teamwork, Customer Service, Excellence and Integrity. Our friends in the community help the Friendly Home to achieve all of this.
We believe that the power of friendship makes all the difference in the quality of our Members’ lives. Simple pleasures and moments of togetherness are so meaningful ~ for example, visiting the Erie Canal to enjoy ice cream and take in the sights and sounds of summer, playing a favorite song during music therapy to evoke a special memory, or helping Members to give back to the community with service projects. Educational programs, entertainment of all kinds, gentle exercise, seasonal celebrations, and our weekly cocktail hour are just some of the many ways we engage our Members and enrich their lives.
The Friendly Home’s history dates back nearly 170 years, and today the Friendly Home’s mission-driven service continues. With a gift of any size to our 2016 Annual Appeal campaign, you will be supporting the important work that we do every day. For a personal touch, you may make a gift in honor of or in memory of someone special.
During this giving time of year, we hope that you will consider making a difference in the lives of the frail elderly entrusted to the Friendly Home’s care. It’s easy to do! You may contribute to the Friendly Home’s 2016 Annual Appeal online by visiting our website at https://www.friendlyseniorliving.org/friendly-home/make-gift/where-give. Thank you in advance for your generosity and friendship! We wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy and peaceful holiday season.
